Physical Properties

Magnesium Aluminum Alloy powder 50/50 is available in the following standard sizes:
-30 Mesh, -35 Mesh, -50 Mesh, -100 Mesh, -200 Mesh, -325 Mesh and -500 mesh (D90 = 20.20 microns). 

Magnesium Aluminum Alloy powder JAN-M-454 Type A is available per MIL Spec.

Chemical Properties of Mg-Al / Al-Mg

The most readily available alloy is 50 / 50 and other alloys, such as 65% Mg / 35% Al, AZ-91, AZ-31 are also available. 

Typical Applications

Refractory brick, welding stick electrodes, pyrotechnic applications, military and structural applications such as aircraft skins, etc.

Magnesium Aluminum Alloy is the most important of the magnesium alloys. It improve the mechanical, fabrication, and welding characteristics of aluminum when used as an alloying agent.
