Consistent Aluminium Pigment Powders For A Wide Range Of Applications

Our aluminium flake powders are produced in a wet milling process and the drying is done in a vacuum drying process which is our own Carlfors invention. In the drying process the aluminium flakes are allowed to oxidize in a controlled environment to ensure a safe and consistent product for our customers.

Our powders are well suited for technical applications like Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, and Civil Explosives, where the choice of lubricant and additives during the milling process gives different characteristics, leafing or non-leafing for the final product. Our products for pigment applications are commonly used in Powder Coatings, Printing Inks, Textile Coatings etc.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) – Light Weight Concrete (LWC)

Carlfors has a complete range of technical powders for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC). Beside the particle size and particle size distribution we can also supply you with different characteristics for water dispersability or dwell time in the mixing tank. We have developed three series of powders, F-series, G-series and T-series where each series have its unique properties to create the right hydrogen gas evolution, pore structure, density and compressive strength.

We are always ready to visit your factory for testing together with you or receiving the raw materials to be tested and verified at Carlfors own autoclave aerating test center. Since we have experience from full scale production we can assist in any light weight concrete factory as troubleshooters or to make full-scale tests and evaluation of the process. We have great knowledge about the different light weight concrete processes like Siporex, Ytong and Hebel.
